Cramped Toes
On Saturday, I went on an excellent walk in the South Downs, from Hassocks to Lewes. The weather was perfect, the route delightful, and I was enjoying the company of two good friends who I hadn't seen in a while. I had decided not to do the barefoot thing, as I didn't want to risk any unforeseen problems with my feet. The walk went without a hitch, but my walking boots - probably the most comfortable pair I have ever owned - were squashing the toes of my right foot. I don't think my feet were sliding to the front of my boots when we were descending. Could it be that my feet have changed their shape? I can't say I've noticed. Either way, I'm in the market for a pair of minimalist boots.
