Handy Hint

Do your minimalist shoes rub your heels and threaten to give you blisters? If the skin on your heels is already tender or blistered, treat it with Compeed plasters. These little beauties act as a second skin, protecting any tender regions or blisters from friction and infection, probably long enough for the area to heal. To avoid future blisters on undamaged skin, smear a little petroleum jelly on the offending areas of your shoes before slipping them on, and show those blisters a clean pair of heels.
